According to Samsung’s annual release timetable, we anticipate the Galaxy S23 range to debut in February 2023. While the smartphone has already been authorised by a small number of global certification boards, it was recently observed being approved by two more, increasing the likelihood of a February release. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S23 appears to be ready for release in Thailand and India, two of Samsung’s most important regions.
Through the two regulatory boards, Thailand’s NBTC and India’s BIS, we didn’t learn a great deal about the S23. We now have confirmation regarding the model number of the phone. The S23’s model number was supposed to be SM-S911B/DS, which appears in documents released by both the NBTC and the BIS, confirming another piece of the S23’s enigma (albeit a small one).
While we haven’t acquired any new substantial information about the S23 as a consequence of the two recent certifications, the fact that the smartphone has passed through further regulatory boards indicates that its release is imminent. The S23’s precise release date is still uncertain, but the fact that it has been certified in various countries suggests that Samsung will certainly announce it in the coming months.
There is a chance that the Galaxy S23 Plus and S23 Ultra have also been approved, however neither the NBTC nor the BIS mentions them. We may not have the exact model numbers for these devices. If not, there is no cause for concern, as it is almost certain that the base S23 will be joined by the S23 Plus and S23 Ultra.

Overall, based on the rumours and leaks we’ve heard about the Samsung Galaxy S23, it does not appear like it will revolutionise the mobile industry; but, if what we’ve seen is accurate, it appears to be an incremental improvement over the Galaxy S22. Samsung has not yet issued an official statement, but its annual presentation in the first several months of the year should shed light on the murkier specifics.
