An early hands-on video of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro has been posted online by a YouTuber. Both of the next Google smartphone models were purportedly early developer prototypes, and only the bootloader screen was seen on both.
The YouTuber also discussed the two Google smartphones’ technical specs and design elements in the video. In order to contrast them with the allegedly early developer models of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel Pro, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were also shown in the film.
A hands-on video of the allegedly early developer versions of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro has been uploaded to the YouTube channel Unbox Therapy.
According to the video, the rear camera module on the future Pixel devices will still be arranged horizontally. While the Pixel 7 Pro has a triple rear camera arrangement, the Pixel 7 has a twin rear camera setup.
According to the video, the Google logo might be positioned in the middle of the back panel of both phones. The YouTuber claims that the “visor-like” style of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be present. Additionally, it was stated that, according to the video, the Pixel 6 Pro is a little bit taller and thicker than the Pixel 7 Pro.
According to reports, the Pixel 7’s height is noticeably lower than the Pixel 6’s. Both of the future Google smartphones might have bezels that are thinner than those on the Pixel 6 line.
Additionally, the Pixel 7 series is claimed to be slimmer than the Pixel 6 series while maintaining the same thickness of the back camera module.
In the video, a 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB storage Pixel 7 Pro early developer version was seen. As seen in the Unbox Therapy video, the Pixel Pro’s bootloader screen also refers to the code name “cheetah EVT1.1.”
In contrast, the Pixel 7 is seen to have 8GB of Samsung LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone has been identified as “panther EVT1.1.”
According to the video, the Pixel 7 Pro might have polished right and left spines and matte-finished sides. The YouTuber claims that both phones are compatible with wireless charging.
In the Unbox Therapy video, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are shown with a hole-punch display on the front. According to the YouTuber, the hole punch for the Pixel 7 Pro could be significantly larger.
The Pixel 7 series phones are also weighed by the YouTuber. According to reports, the Pixel 7 weighs roughly 10g less than the Pixel 6 but the Pixel 7 Pro weighs about one gramme more than the Pixel 6 Pro.
Remember when the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro were hinted at during the Google I/O 2022 keynote speech? According to rumours, both flagship phones will go on sale later this year. They are rumoured to come pre-installed with Android 13 and be powered by the upcoming Tensor SoC.
