Apple Releases iOS 16.4 and macOS Ventura 13.3, Which Have New Features and Emoji.

Most of Apple’s software platforms got new updates today, including macOS Ventura 13.3, iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, tvOS 16.4, and watchOS 9.4.

All of these are feature updates, which means that they add new features in addition to fixing bugs or fixing security holes.

A few small features have been added to iOS and iPadOS 16.4. The most important thing is, of course, the 21 new emojis, such as new heart colors, more animals, and a head shaking.

Apple says there will also be better voice isolation during phone calls, support for notifications from web apps that have been added to your phone’s home screen, new ways to get rid of duplicates in your Photos library, and a number of bug fixes.

In terms of accessibility, iOS, and iPadOS can now automatically dim the screen when a video with flashing lights is playing, and maps in the Weather app can now be used with VoiceOver.

Only one change is listed for tvOS 16.4: the same protection against flashing lights that we just talked about for iOS and iPadOS.

On the Apple Watch side, watchOS 9.4 is mostly about bringing features to new areas. Cycle Tracking is now available in Moldova and Ukraine, and AFib history is also available there, as well as in Colombia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The second major one is macOS Ventura 13.3. It has some of the same features as iOS 16.4, like the new emoji, the duplicate album for Photos, and features to help people with disabilities.

It also adds a “move background” feature to Apple’s visual note-taking app Freeform, which “isolates the subject in your image.” There are also some bug fixes that are only for macOS, as well as more language support for the keyboard.
