Apple Would launch 7 new Macs in March 2022, Report Says

Since the introduction of the Apple M1 chip in 2020, Apple’s switch to in-house silicon has become more stable. In the past year, we’ve seen a number of new MacBook and iMac models powered by Apple’s M1 and M1 Pro chipsets. Apple is expected to release seven new Macs in 2022, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

Apple Macs Release Date March, 2022

Gurman, an analyst for Bloomberg, shared his thoughts on Apple’s Mac lineup in the newest Power On newsletter. Macs and iMacs will see a smooth transition to the company’s own silicon, according to Gurman.

A new M2 chipset, the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets, and a super-powered M1 Max processor are expected to power Apple’s upcoming Mac devices, according to the analyst. The new Mac computers will feature these chipsets.

Apple is rumored to hold a press conference on March 8 to unveil the first Macs of 2022, most likely the new entrant MacBook Pro and Mac mini. In May or June, Apple is expected to unveil the next generation of Mac computers. The rumored iPhone SE 3 is also expected to be unveiled at this event. Apple is more likely to focus on the high-end Mac Pro model than the low-end Macbook Pro model, according to him.

There will be devices such as the following

  • Upgrade your old Mac mini to the M1 Pro model.
  • It has an M2 processor in a Mac mini.
  • Apple has released a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 processor.
  • An M2 chip-equipped MacBook Air has been unveiled.
  • M2 chip-equipped 24-inch iMac.
  • It has an iMac Pro with an M1 Pro or M1 Max chipset option and a large screen.
  • Mac Pro with two or four M1 Max chipset equivalents in a smaller form factor.

The new iMac Pro and the new Mac Pro will be released in the second round of Mac releases, both of which will be powered by the M1 Max chipset. Also in 2023, the next-generation M3 processor is expected to be released alongside the Pro and Max versions of the M2 chipset, according to the Apple analyst.

Apple May Bring New M2 Macbook Pro in 2022

We can safely assume that the long-circulating rumors about a new generation of Macs due in 2022 will come to fruition. There is, however, no official word from Apple at this time; so take everything you read with a grain of salt.
