For video game and animation aficionados, Geeked Week 2022 was the gift that kept on giving. The fact that Netflix is working on a new animated series set in the Castlevania universe was one of the major revelations from day five of the celebration. Richter Belmont will be the focus of Castlevania: Nocturne.
Richter is well known for his roles in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night. While the first Castlevania Netflix series chronicled Trevor Belmont and Alucard’s narrative, this program will most likely take place decades after the events of the previous season.
Aside from the introduction trailer, Netflix hasn’t given us much information about the show’s plot or prospective premiere date. We know that it will be directed by Kevin Kolde, who previously worked on the other Castlevania series, and Clive Bradley, the creator, and writer.
Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation will once again create this series as they did in 2017.
What occurred in the fourth season of Castlevania?
Castlevania came to a close in the most fitting way possible: with one last bloody combat at Castle Dracula.
Varney, played by Malcolm McDowell, is revealed to be The Grim Reaper, who wants to revive Dracula and drive him insane so that his following murdering rampage will provide an infinite supply of food.
Trevor, on the other hand, is able to stop him by stabbing him in the head with a magical dagger – but at the risk of losing his own life, since the specter’s death unleashes a massive burst of fire.
Trevor reappears just as Sypha, who is distraught and pregnant, is about to give up. It turns out that a dying Saint Germain was able to convey the vampire hunter across the Infinite Hallway just in time.
After Trevor, Sypha, Alucard, and Greta have settled down, there’s one more surprising happy ending: Dracula and Lisa are reborn in their own bodies, and instead of pursuing vengeance, they decide to travel the world together.
The video announcing Castlevania: Nocturne
We may not have much information, but the above announcement video gives us our first glance at Richter!
Richter’s attire in that video suggests that his story arc is more inspired by Rondo of Blood, although it’s too early to say anything at this point. I’m sure I’ll miss the original gang, but I’m looking forward to seeing how the new plot unfolds.
Without much information to rely on, it’s difficult to predict a release date, but we may anticipate Castlevania season 5 to arrive in late 2023.
The storyline of Castlevania Season 5
The narrative for Castlevania season 5 has yet to be announced, as the continuing storyline was intended to stop with season 4 and no new previews for Season 5 have been released.
However, the Castlevania franchise begins with vampire Count Vlad Dracula swearing revenge and stating that all the inhabitants of Wallachia shall suffer and die after his wife is burnt to death on false claims of witchcraft and sorcery.
He unleashed an army of demons who wreaked havoc on Wallachia, forcing the inhabitants to live in terror of death at any moment.
With the assistance of the sorceress Sypha Belnades and Dracula and his deceased wife’s dhampir son Alucard, Trevor Belmont, the exiled monster hunter of the Belmont clan, takes up arms against Dracula’s army.
