Season of the Haunted, Destiny 2’s 17th season, is the next adventure for the Guardians, according to Bungie. The Leviathan, a huge, planet-devouring ship that’s been the backdrop of many prior events, will be revisited in Season 17.
The Solar 3.0 subclass change, a new dungeon (separate purchase from the season), and a slew of new loot will all be available to Guardians.
The Leviathan and its lord, Emperor Calus of the Cabal, escaped Nessus’ orbit and our solar system before Beyond Light.
The ship has returned, settling over the Moon and absorbing some of the Moon’s Nightmares. Players will board the ship to figure out what’s wrong and “become the reaper,” wielding a powerful scythe.
What is the Haunted Season?
After Bungie refused to share any details regarding Season 17, it appeared that we’d be left in the dark on release day. That is until the trailer was leaked ahead of schedule on the Japanese PlayStation YouTube channel.
Bungie chose to put the trailer on YouTube as well, rather than letting the leaks run wild all night. You can see the trailer for yourself right here.
Season of the Haunted welcomes back Zavala, Crow, an Rnd Capital. The season appears to be centered on nightmares. In the Shadowkeep expansion, we were first introduced.
The Leviathan has also reappeared, albeit it looks to have met the same fate as the Glycon from the Presage quest. With the release of the season, new seasonal armor, exotics, and the debut of Sun 3.0 all appear to be on the way.

What is the process for purchasing the Season of the Haunted Season Pass?
The Season of the Haunted Season Pass can only be purchased using silver, Destiny 2’s paid in-game currency. The pass costs 1,000 Silver, which is equivalent to $9.99. Silver can be purchased either through the in-game UI or directly from your platform’s store.
The Season of the Haunted Season Pass can only be obtained through the Witch Queen Deluxe Edition. As part of the Deluxe Edition, users will receive a season pass for seasons 16 through 19.
