For All Mankind Season 3: Release Date, Cast and crew, Storyline And Other Latest Updates!!

This summer, “For All Mankind” will return to Apple TV Plus for a third season on June 10th.

Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi, the critically-acclaimed science fiction drama imagines an alternate past where Russia defeated the United States in placing a man on the moon first.

As a result of this historical difference, the space race between the two countries never ends, resulting in a future where both governments have sophisticated moon colonies staffed 24/7 and the Cold War has led to considerably rapid technical breakthroughs.

The series focuses on the activities of the astronauts and personnel of NASA in this parallel reality, delving into both their professional and personal lives. “For All Mankind’s” first two seasons spanned over two decades, beginning in 1969 and concluding in the late 1980s.

Explained: the third season’s storyline and the second season’s cliffhanger.

The season 2 finale of For All Mankind is one of the greatest episodes of the year thus far. It’s an action-packed, high-stakes, gut-punch of a conclusion that kills off two beloved characters and sets up a totally new tale for season 3.

On both the surface of our planet and the moon, the American-Russian war reaches a boiling point. The Marines and Russian cosmonauts have a gunfight at the Jamestown outpost, which might lead to a nuclear reactor meltdown.

To preserve everyone on the base and to prevent the moon from becoming uninhabitable for thousands of years, Gordo (Michael Dorman) and Tracy (Sarah Jones) must remedy the situation.

In order to survive the harsh conditions of the lunar surface, they tape themselves up and run. They’re successful, but lose their lives in the process. They die like heroes, in one other’s arms.

Meanwhile, in lunar orbit, Ed (Joel Kinnaman) faces off against Sally (Ellen Wroe) over exploding a Russian spacecraft.

Danielle (Krys Marshall) defies orders and docks with the Soyuz while in orbit around the Earth on Apollo. She encourages President Ronald Reagan to make peace with the Soviet Union when her famous handshake with a cosmonaut is aired worldwide.

After the dramatic funerals of the Stevenses, Margo (Wrenn Schmidt) receives a call from her Soviet colleague Sergei. But it turns out he’s working with intelligence officers to attempt to transform Margo into an asset for their side!

Once on Mars, we see a pair of boots crunching across the red dirt. Time has passed and we have reached the year 1995.

According to Apple TV Plus, season 3 depicts a period when “the Red Planet becomes the new front in the Space Race not just for the U.S. and the Soviet Union, but also an unexpected new participant with a lot to prove and much more at risk.”

To put it another way, when characters’ goals for Mars clash and their loyalty is put to the test, the show will be a pressure cooker building to an explosive end.

Currently, the first two seasons of For All Mankind may be viewed on Apple TV+ for free. Check out the season three teaser below:
