Season 2 of Halo Infinite is finally here after a series of unexpected delays, and it will feature a new battle pass, maps, modes, and more. For now, this is all we know.
In recent months, fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Halo Infinite Season 2. It’s been four months since the premiere of Season 1 in November of 2021, which means there hasn’t been a changeover.
However, Halo Infinite’s Head of Creative, Joseph Staten, laid out the future of the game and gave us a few hints as to when Season 2 will be released and what it will include.
Halo Infinite Season 2 release date: Will there be Halo infinite 2?
The second season of Halo Infinite will begin on May 3 and last for about three months. As a result, the second season should be shorter than the first.
Given the number of delays between the first two seasons, it could run longer if unforeseen obstacles arise.
Season 2 of Halo Infinite Battle Pass
The Season 2 battle pass for Halo Infinite has not been revealed yet. There are expected to be 100-tiers with a variety of cosmetic rewards, just like the Season 1 battle pass.
Because of that, there are going to be some changes. Changes based on feedback will be implemented by 343 Industries, including the ability for players to earn in-game credits that can be used to recoup some of the money they paid out. The Battle Pass’s content will be heavily influenced by the Lone Wolves theme, according to the game’s developer.
For now, we don’t know how the battle pass will be implemented or what the battle pass will contain. However, as soon as we have more information, we will add it to this section.
Season 2 of Halo Infinite Maps
Halo Infinite Season 2 will feature two new maps, according to 343 Industries. Big-Team Battle map “Breaker” is the first one, which looks like it’s set in the desert.
Due to its nature as an arena, the Catalyst map has a smaller size. The action takes place in and around a two-story structure that appears to be an old abandoned lab covered in moss.
You can count on seeing this new design a lot in Season 2, as it will be added to “multiple playlists” from the get-go.
Season 2 of Halo Infinite Modes
Additional modes, including a return to an old favourite, have also been added to the game by the developers. The first is a “free-for-all elimination mode” called “Last Spartan Standing.”
This mode, known as “King of the Hill,” is one of the most popular. Keeping the ‘hill’ for the longest time is the name of the game. Both Free-For-All and Team vs. Team modes are available.
One of the third modes is Land Grab, which is a cross between King of Hill and another classic mode called Territories. Five plots of land scattered across the map cannot be reclaimed by the players, so they must battle for control of them.
Additionally, it has been reported that Attrition will be returning for Season 2. Following an initial run at launch, this revive-focused mode could become a regular feature of the following season.

Season 2 of Halo Infinite Early Patch Notes
Changes are being made, according to a blog post from 343 Industries.
- Shield recharge sounds will be reduced in order to prevent players from knowing where their opponents are located.
- The increased volume will be applied to the Grunt Birthday Party audio effect in the Campaign.
- On the first day, Catalyst (the new Arena map) will be added to a variety of playlists.
- Multiple playlists will feature King of the Hill.
- Multiple playlists will feature Attrition.

- Fixed the issue that led to asymmetrical Weapon Rack spawns.
- The CSR progression bar will now only show the progress made since the player’s most recent match, rather than their entire session.
Custom Games & Forge
- Some Custom Game bugs have been fixed, but there will be more in the future.
Personal AI & Spartan Chatter
- Adjustments to the game’s balance were made to emphasize what matters most to players.
- Improved stability; the team has solved dozens of computer crashes.
- Fighting in melee should be more predictable, with less “phasing” through other opponents and less “whiffing” when a hit should have been made.
- The Mangler will have to use two shots and a beating to take down a foe with a 10% melee damage reduction on all weapons.
- The damage of the Ravager’s non-charged shot will rise.
Friend or Foe (IFF) Recognition (Player Outlines)
- Now, players can alter the opacity and thickness of this system based on their own preferences, thanks to the addition of these new options.
- Drop Wall’s performance will improve slightly.
- Overshield provides a small amount of additional shielding.
- To the glory of its vehicle-splattering glory, chopper collision damage will be increased
- Enhancing Banshee as a strike fighter, its agility and damage output will be increased.
