Invincible Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything You Need To Know

The global lockdown was still in place in March of last year. For many, the purpose of tuning in was to catch up on previously missed episodes of their favourite shows and movies, as well as to check some series off their to-watch list for the time being.

Robert Kirkman’s Invincible is an American adult animated superhero TV series that premiered on Amazon Prime Video.

When Invincible first aired, it gained a massive audience in just a handful of episodes. With each action-packed episode, the story progresses and the characters become more memorable.

Fans are eager to see what Mark Grayson / Invincible and Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man have in store for the second season. The climax of the series put the father-daughter relationship to the test. Viewers were shocked by the whole ordeal, which may have tainted the relationship.

Invincible Official Premise

According to Wikipedia, “Mark Grayson is an average teenager, except that his father, Nolan, is the most powerful superhero. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop his powers and learns how to wield them with help from his father.”

Invincible’s first season trailer is here:

This is a list of some of the current information about Invincible Season 2:

Season 2 of Invincible Release Date

Season 2 of Invincible has been confirmed. In terms of a specific release date, the studio has yet to reveal anything about the show. For another thing, Amazon did not include the show in its 2022 series lineup.

Assume that the second season of Invincible will not air this year.

It is expected to be released in 2023, according to the current estimates.

Perhaps in early 2023 rather than late, as the process of creating animated series is quite different from live-action productions. Even though many of the cast members have said they will return, the animated series has been renewed for a third season, which is a good thing.

Season 2 of Invincible Cast

Even if the show doesn’t get any bigger, Invincible’s cast is already ridiculously large.

Season two of Invincible is likely to feature many of the same characters as the first season’s finale:

  • Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson / Invincible
  • Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson
  • JK Simmons as Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man
  • Zachary Quinto as Robot
  • Ross Marquand as Rudy Connors, Robot’s new real body

Another possibility is a return for Mark Hamill, who played Art Rosenbaum in the original series “What a blast it was to record with the one and only @HamillHimself… Is there a second season of Bulletproof in the works? We’ll have to keep an open mind and see what happens!” Tease, tease, tease.

After Mark discovered his secret, Omni-Man took off for another galaxy, but Nolan will be back for Season 2. To imagine this show without him is like to imagine his moustache gone from his face; it’s impossible. It’s a non-starter.

So far in season one, there have been several appearances from The Walking Dead’s cast members including Lauren Cohan, Ross Marquand, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Khary Payton, as well as Yeun’s Invincible co-star Chad Coleman.

That said, could there be more Deadites in season two?

Kirkman said he was hesitant to name names because he wanted to bring everyone (via ComicBook). “On The Walking Dead, there isn’t a single actor I wouldn’t like to work with again. Those actors are fantastic. It would be impossible for me to turn down any of these actors: Danai Gurira, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan…”

Season 2 of Invincible Plot

To avoid spoiling the fun of the series by revealing plot details ahead of time, J.K. Simmons recently spoke with Discussing Films, but he assured fans that they would get to work soon, even if it took months. He cited-

“I’m always wary of giving anything away, but I believe I can say that we’ll be returning to the recording studio very soon. Now, the time elapsed between the time we began recording and the finished animation is obviously considerable; my best guess is that it will be well over a year. However, I can confirm that production on Season 2 of Invincible has begun in earnest. That’s a great term for being vague.”

How many episodes of Invincible Season 2 are there?

Episodes have yet to be decided upon. At least eight episodes are expected to be in the new season’s storyline, which has not yet been revealed.
