The weekend’s breaking news that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck—a.k.a. Bennifer—had wed in Las Vegas sent the internet into a frenzy.
Through her On The J Lo newsletter, J Lo revealed information on her private wedding, as well as unreleased images of her bridal attire. In the tiny chapel, she writes, “We read our own vows and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.”
Lopez’s interpretation of the “something old” bridal tradition included a textured sleeveless dress that she said was “from an old movie,” along with her trademark bouncy hair and a smoky makeup look.
The show-stopping outfit, however, was created by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, who also created the embroidered dress she wore in the romantic comedy Marry Me.
The singer wore an off-the-shoulder corseted dress with delicate lace sleeves and a sweetheart neckline, complete with a veil, on her wedding day.
Ben Affleck was reportedly dressed in a blazer from his own closet for the ceremony, and the couple had the “greatest witnesses you could ever imagine” in attendance, according to On The J Lo.
The announcement follows the well-publicized rekindling of their long-running affair, which culminated in their second engagement in April (they called the first off in 2002). This time, Affleck proposed with a ring that was 8.5 carats in weight and surrounded by brilliant white diamonds.
