As she approaches her third year of sobriety, Lily Allen has admitted it was an emotional experience to be at Glastonbury this weekend.

On Saturday, during Olivia Rodrigo’s performance, the Smile singer gave the Glasto crowds a pleasant surprise by entering the stage.

In reaction to this week’s Supreme Court decision in America to overturn Roe v. Wade, the duo performed a duet of Lily’s popular 2009 song F**k You. The Supreme Court’s announcement that it will overturn a decision made fifty years earlier and abolish the protection of abortion rights was made public.

Lily Allen, who went to the festival with her two kids Marnie Rose and Ethel, published an Instagram story about the interaction she had with the vocalist Olivia of the band Drivers License.

She included a performance video with the statement, “So overwhelmed viewing this stuff back in the van home.” Countless feelings. My children witnessed today as their mother dominated Glastonbury with their favorite pop artist. They were pleased with me, actually!

And I’ve been clean for about 3 years. I’m very glad.

The 37-year-old has been transparent about her sobriety journey, which she started in 2019, and stated why she went to drugs and alcohol to boost her confidence.

Olivia Rodrigo, 19, remarked to the crowd that Lily’s arrival was a very momentous occasion before welcoming her to the stage. The fact that I’m sharing the stage with Lily at Glastonbury for the first time is the biggest dream come true ever.

However, I’m just as devastated.

In response to Roe v. Wade, she continued, “I’m saddened and afraid and so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this.”

“I wanted to dedicate my next song to the five Supreme Court justices who have demonstrated that, at the end of the day, they really don’t give a s**t about freedom.”

These lyrics are dedicated to the Justices.
