In order to enable document signing during virtual meetings, tech giant Microsoft has developed an example app for Teams.

The program, according to Windows Central, enables users to attach a document to a meeting for participants to sign, such as a purchase agreement, an invoice, or an NDA.

The example application was created by Teams Ecosystem Engineering as a proof of concept for independent software vendors (ISVs) or other clients implementing it.

The report stated that because the entire project is accessible and described on GitHub, it should be helpful to organizations looking to use it in meetings.

Users of the app can attach a document to a meeting for review or signature. Single sign-on (SSO) for Teams is supported for authentication.

It also supports adaptive cards, the Teams people picker, and content sharing throughout the meeting stage, according to the study.

Microsoft said that by examining and approving code or cooperating on a paper, for example, the app might be modified to deal with various scenarios that call for signing off.

Teams and desktop customers can access the demo app right now. Microsoft announced the feature in a Tech Community post but did not say when mobile and web support will be available.

Currently, only users from the same company or tenant can use the app. Support for anonymous and guest users is also coming, it was said.
