Mobile Sports Betting Is Anticipated to Surge During the Super Bowl.

Mobile wagering on the Super Bowl is now available to Arkansans for the first time since it became legal in March of last year.

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration’s Scott Hardin said that Arkansans wagered slightly under $1 million on the 2021 Super Bowl. This year, he expects that number to only increase.

“You had to drive to a casino at that time. Hardin stated, “I can only think that number will be multiplied by three, four, five, or six this year, since the state’s population has expanded from a small number to all residents.”

Neal Atkinson of the Saracen Casino Resort stated that he anticipates numerous internet wagers on the game.

“The software offers everyone access without requiring them to travel, and they can enjoy the game,” Atkinson explained.

Both Atkinson and Hardin expect out-of-state participants to travel to Arkansas on Sunday to take part in the event.

“They can travel into Arkansas, download an app, place a wager, and remain to watch a game here, or they can go home since they only need to be in the state when they place the wager,” Hardin explained.

If you have a gambling issue, you can call the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-522-4700, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
