The PC and console versions of Monster Hunter: Rise, the latest instalment in the wildly popular series by CAPCOM, have recently broken another significant sales record around the world.

Since the game’s release on December 31st, 2022, CAPCOM has sold an additional 300,000 copies of the game digitally, bringing the total number of units sold to over 12 million. As of December 31st, the game had shipped 11.7 million copies and sold 3.1 million digital copies. The new artwork that the Japanese publisher released in honour of the event can be viewed down below.

Monster Hunter Rise made its debut this year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, following its release on Nintendo Switch in 2021 and PC in 2022. Later this year, these platforms will receive the Sunbreak expansion, which brings a tonne of new content and is currently being supported by free updates and paid DLC that add even more.

Pick a weapon and demonstrate your prowess. Use 14 different weapons, each with its own advantages and drawbacks for close-quarters and long-range combat. You can charge in with the mighty Great Sword and hammer away at your foes with the elegant Long Sword, become a deadly maelstrom of blades with the quick Dual Blades, charge in with the punishing Lance, or take aim from a distance with the Bow and Bowguns. You can find the best play style for you by experimenting with the various weapon types in the game, of which these are just a few examples.
