Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu was one of the most anticipated anime at the time, but its release was met with controversy from both fans and reviewers. The show was heavily chastised for its sexist aspects.
The manga and anime adaptations of Rifujin na Magonote’s light novel series of the same name were also dragged into the hatred and controversy. Magonote reacted to some of the negative remarks, but this only served to increase the series’ popularity.
The first two seasons were a huge hit with the public, and the producers’ cliffhanger left us wanting more. We now have information regarding the future season of the series, which is wonderful news.
The release date for Mushoku Tensei Season 3
The official website of MF Books reported on March 15, 2019, that an anime adaptation of the series was in the works, but did not identify the medium.
It was revealed in October 2019 with the launch of a website and a dedicated Twitter account that this is a television series set to premiere in 2020; it was directed and written by Manabu Okamoto at Studio Bind, with character designs by Kazutaka Sugiyama.
In June 2020, it was revealed that the series will be delayed until 2021. The series is split into two parts, the first of which will air in Japan on Tokyo MXb, KBS, BS, and subsequently on SUN between January 11 and March 22, 2021.
The second season, which will consist of 12 episodes, was supposed to premiere in July 2021, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was pushed back to October 4, 2021.
The series is split into four Blu-ray/DVD sets and has twenty-three episodes. The fourth Blu-ray contained an unpublished episode, which was released on March 16, 2022. The approval of a second season was announced on March 6, 2022.
Considering all of this, Mushoku Tensei appears to have a bright future, despite the lack of knowledge on the show’s future beyond season two.
As previously said, the source works are highly popular, as was the anime series, and the fact that the franchise has a significant audience, along with the fact that we have only recently watched the first season, with a second on the way, gives us reason to be optimistic.
In any event, the earliest we may see a second season is 2024, but a more plausible possibility is late 2024 or possibly 2025, assuming it happens at all.

Will there be a fourth season of Mushoku Tensei?
The future of Mushoku Tensei is uncertain at this time. We don’t know much about a third season right now, so whether or not we’ll get a fourth season is still up in the air.
The series has done well, and there is still a lot of material to adapt, which is excellent news for Mushoku Tensei fans, but we’ll have to wait and see how the scenario with season three plays out before learning more about a possible season four, which is quite a likely.
