While the week of Stranger Things was undoubtedly a big one for Netflix, this week will also see a lot of viewers turning into the streaming service. And it’s not just because the third season of The Umbrella Academy will premiere this week.
Welcome to your weekly roundup of all the new content that has been added to Netflix in the US during the last seven days. Between June 19th and June 25th, all of the titles mentioned below were added to the library. We’ll also look at the top 10 US songs that have been trending over the last week.
This week, Netflix is adding Love & Gelato and The Umbrella Academy.
A new teen romance based on a book, a new comedic thriller, and a number of vintage Nickelodeon programs are also coming this week.
Kenan & Kel
Millennials, this is our moment once more! Seasons 2 and 3 of All That, 1 and 2 of Kenan & Kel, 1 and 2 of Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, and 1 and 2 of Zoey 101 are just a few of the former Nickelodeon shows that will soon be available on Netflix. On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, all of these programs will be streamable.
Gelato & Love
On June 22, Netflix will also release Love & Gelato, a brand-new teen romance based on the Jenna Evans Welch novel of the same name.
The protagonist of the narrative is Lina, who has vowed to spend her ailing mother’s last summer in Rome trying to get to know her father. Lina would prefer not to because he hasn’t been present for the majority of her life.
She nevertheless travels and receives the diary her mother wrote in while living in Italy. Lina falls in love with the city, the locals, and the greatest part of all: the gelato, while there.
If this is successful, it is hoped that the following two books in the trilogy, Love & Luck and Love & Olives, would also be made into films.
The Toronto-born man
On Friday, June 24, a brand-new Kevin Hart film will also be made available on Netflix. With Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, Ellen Barkin, and Kaley Cuoco in the lead roles, The Man From Toronto tells the tale of a deadly assassin and “New York’s biggest screw-up” (played by Kevin Hart).
After Hart’s character is forced to pose as the lethal assassin when they are mistaken for one another at an Airbnb, chaos, and mayhem break out.
Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy’s third season premieres this week on Wednesday, June 22. The Umbrella Academy returns to their home but quickly realizes they don’t actually reside there anymore when the Netflix Original picks off where season 2 left off. or at least not in this period of time.
The Sparrow Academy exists in this world. As a result, the two academies combat each other in their first confrontation.
However, cooperation with the Sparrow Academy will be necessary if the Umbrella Academy hopes to restore the universe. And, hopefully, return to their pre-apocalyptic timeline.
The fourth season of Legacies will debut this week, and on Friday, June 24, Money Heist: Korea — Joint Economic Area will debut.
