On Thursday, DJI officially unveiled the Avata first-person vision drone. The new DJI Goggles 2 and DJI Motion Controller, it is intended to provide an immersive flight experience.
It has a lightweight, compact design that is intended for confined locations. Additionally, this drone has built-in propeller guards that, if it makes contact with an obstruction while in flight, are supposed to cause it to bounce back and maintain altitude.
The DJI Avata FPV drone has image stabilization capabilities like HorizonSteady and RockSteady 2.0 and offers 4K ultra-wide angle video.
Availability and Cost of DJI Avata
On DJI’s official website, the DJI Avata new FPV drone is offered for $629. (roughly Rs. 50,000). Additionally, there are two $1,168 and $1,388 combo packages that include accessories in addition to the DJI FPV Goggles V2/ DJI Goggles 2 and DJI Motion Controller.
Details and features of the DJI Avata
A 48-megapixel, 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.8 aperture is included with the DJI Avata FPV drone. It allows for 155 degrees 4K ultra-wide angle recording. To minimize camera shake and guarantee smooth video capture, this drone has RockSteady 2.0 and HorizonSteady technologies.
It has a 2420mAh battery inside, which the manufacturer claims will give it up to 18 minutes of flight time. The DJI Avata is said to have a maximum flight range of 11.6 kilometers.
Additionally, onboard storage can be up to 20GB. The drone is made of durable materials and includes built-in propeller protection. According to claims, it can operate between -10 and 40 degrees Celsius.
In order to detect obstructions below the drone during low-altitude and indoor flights, the DJI Avata FPV drone has downward binocular vision and ToF infrared sensors. Additionally, the drone has a feature called Turtle Mode that helps it stand back up if it flips over and lands on its back.
This drone has omnidirectional antennae that can transmit 1080p video at up to 100 frames per second with a maximum video latency of 30 milliseconds. The DJI Avata is advertised to have a 10-kilometer video transmission range.
