Razer Project Valerie: A triple-screen gaming laptop

Razer, a company known for being highly innovative in its product designs, specifically with gaming accessories, has released its latest creation. The Razer Project Valerie is a first for the laptop market. Launched at CES 2017, Project Valerie is the world’s first triple-screen gaming laptop. This might sound over the top crazy, but this product is a reality.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Project Valerie sports three 17.3-inch 4K displays to produce a ridiculously expansive viewing and gaming experience. These additional displays fold out once the laptop is opened. Apart from just gaming, the expanded resolution can be used for multitasking across big projects and multiple programming exercises. Razer has stated that Project Valerie aims to improve flexibility and productivity apart from delivering a seriously enhanced gaming experience.

GRAPHICS

The Project Valerie is powered by an NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 GPU, which is currently the fastest GPU for laptops. This delivers a powerful punch for serious gamers and intends to do well in powering the three 4K displays. Additionally, the GTX 1080 natively supports NVIDIA Surround View with an incredible 11520 x 2160 resolution.

CONCLUSION

The Razer Project Valerie represents a first for gaming laptops. With its eye watering displays and serious graphics, the Project Valerie will certainly turn heads. However, we’re not entirely sold on the portability of such a machine. With three displays packed into a 17.3-inch machine you can be sure of some additional weight. Granted, it will appeal to hardcore gamers, but compared to the new Alienware range, which is much more portable, the Project Valerie seems a bit far out. Of course, we’re going to keep a close eye on this product. No release date has been confirmed but one thing is for sure: We’re in an age of innovation.
