Tarik Cohen, a free agent from the Chicago Bears, apparently suffered an injury while live-streaming a workout on his Instagram account.
After collapsing during Tuesday’s training, the hard-luck athlete, who was released by the Bears in March owing to previous ailments, grasped the back of his leg. Cohen took a step back and fell to the ground, which was seen on Instagram Live.
Cohen completed three seasons with Chicago, but due to knee ligament damage, he only played three games in 2021. After missing the rest of the season, the Bears dismissed him.
Cohen, a fourth-round pick in 2017, was an effective running back and kick returner in his first season. After leading the NFL with 33 run-backs for 411 yards in 2018, he was selected All-Pro as a punt returner.
