On Thursday, the Google Pixel 6a launched on sale for the first time in India. The business may now turn its attention to the Pixel 7 lineup, which is anticipated to comprise the standard Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.
The second-generation Google Tensor SoC is reportedly part of this portfolio. The lineup has been the subject of rumors, with more and more supposed details appearing periodically.
The Pixel 7 may have a hall sensor, according to a debug code that was recently discovered.
Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman), a tech editor, discovered the aforementioned line of code.
There are hall sensors, according to the debug manual for the Pixel 7. These sensors were allegedly last used by Google in the Pixel 2.
Rahman also made the assumption that the Google Pixel 6a might have a hall sensor even though it isn’t stated in the specifications. The sensor drivers are reportedly included with the smartphone.
The magnets that are typically used in flip covers produce a magnetic field that hall sensors are made to detect. When the flip cover is open or closed, the smartphone can detect that information.
Given that the Pixel 7 range might include these and the Pixel 6a might already have this sensor, Google might develop their own flip covers.
The Pixel 7 may include a Sony IMX381 ultra-wide angle camera in addition to a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 main sensor, according to a recent report.
The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, is anticipated to use a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 telephoto sensor. Recent leaks also include purported live images of this smartphone.
The codename for this alleged test version of the Pixel 7 Pro was “Cheetah,” and it ran Android 13. According to a previous source, it might also have a Samsung S6E3HC4 display with a resolution of 1,440 by 3,120 pixels.
