Vivo, a Chinese electronics manufacturer, has just launched their Vivo V5 Plus smartphone in India for $410. This phone is decidedly mid-range with excellent features and specifications for the price.

The V5 Plus is an iPhone 7 Plus sized device that's made from high quality materials including a metal body and a Gorilla Glass screen. Fingerprint security as well as dual micro-sims are available despite it's mid-range price.
The majority of smartphone buyers automatically consider buying devices from the big brand manufacturers since they are well known and readily available. We like the fact that several smartphone manufacturers have entered the market and taking the fight to the established brands.
The V5 Plus is a very good quality device at a reasonable price especially when comparing it to the equivalent iPhone or Samsung smartphone.
Huawei was considered a cheap knock-off type brand not too long ago and have progressed in leaps and bounds and are now a major player in the smartphone market and produce high quality devices. We believe that paying exorbitantly high prices for a smartphone is unnecessary and having more choice can give the consumer better value.
Our previous article highlighting our favorite smartphones of 2016 reflects this and we are confident that 2017 will be even better with regards to quality devices at good prices. We think that the Vivo V5 Plus is just the start.
