WhatsApp ‘Delete for Everyone’ Feature May Get Extension to Over 2 Days; Communities Section Detailed Too

A recent beta update suggests that WhatsApp may be introducing an extension to the time limit for deleting messages soon. However, the time limit has been altered. Additionally, information about the rumoured Communities section has surfaced, and the rollout of message reactions appears to be drawing nearer. Here’s a sneak peek at some of what’s coming to WhatsApp soon.

Lastest 3 Features of Whatsapp in Upcoming Updates

WhatsApp for Android users will soon be able to delete sent messages even after two days, according to the latest beta version (2.22.4.10) of the app. Currently, the time limit is 1 hour, 8 minutes, 16 seconds, which is expected to be increased to 2 hours and 12 hours.

There was also speculation that the limit of 7 days was being tested, but this is much lower. Users may not be able to delete a message for a week, and it may not make sense for them to do so. Consequently, the Meta-owned messaging platform may adopt the latest two-day limit. However, this is not the final word, and WhatsApp may make changes before it is made available to everyone.

Once available, the new “Delete for Everyone” time limit will extend the original 2017 limit of seven minutes.

According to WABetaInfo, the rumoured Communities section in WhatsApp will look like this. The bug was discovered in the Android beta version 2.22.4.9 of the app in question. According to a screenshot, group administrators will have access to a new section of the app called WhatsApp Communities. They will be able to manage all of their groups through one location.

Additionally, they will be able to communicate with the entire group at once using this feature. There is no word as to when the feature will be made available to the general public.

According to the report, the highly anticipated WhatsApp message reactions feature will be available in the app’s beta versions for Android and iOS very soon. Like how people can respond to messages on Facebook Messenger, Instagram and even Twitter, message reactions on WhatsApp will be end-to-end encrypted. You may recall that WhatsApp’s settings indicated that it would be coming soon.

It’s not clear when these features will be rolled out to all WhatsApp users because they are currently in the beta version. We’ll let you know as soon as that happens. As a result, be sure to check back often!
