Spoilers for When Calls the Heart Season 9
Hearties, it’s time for the season finale of When Calls the Heart! When it comes to “Rock a Bye Baby,” the closing episode of season 9 of When Calls the Heart, there are a lot of questions.
Throughout the season, fans will certainly get answers to some of their pressing questions, while new ones may surface. Will Lucas (Chris McNally) proposes to Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) or will he abandon Hope Valley? Is Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) actually expecting a child?
With Arthur Gilchrist’s (Matthew Dowden) clear attraction to Fiona (Kayla Wallace), does she need to be concerned about her work at the oil company? Is Faith (Andrea Brooks) still in love with Carson (Paul Greene) or is she falling for Nathan (Kevin McGarry)?\
Is Nathan still smitten by Faith, or is he more enamored with Mei (Amanda Wong)? Will the coal mines reopen even after Henry (Martin Cummins) took extraordinary measures? Is Bill (Jack Wagner) seriously ill? Is Hickam (Ben Rosenbaum) truly going to resign as mayor of Hope Valley?
In the season 9 finale, Elizabeth is concerned about her connection with Lucas, while Bill tries to assist Henry in dealing with the aftermath of the mine disaster. Rosemary is experiencing more symptoms, but does this indicate she’s pregnant? Will she finally inform Lee (Kavan Smith) about her situation?
In the meantime, a fire breaks out in the saloon, and everyone runs to aid. Will lives be lost as Lee and others enter the burning structure, or will the residents of Hope Valley fight the fire?
Through his narrative of atonement throughout the years on the program, Henry, a once-despised character, has gained followers. His atonement appears to be complete, but at what cost? Henry’s closing sequences in the finale, played by Martin Cummins, will make you laugh while simultaneously bringing a tear to your eye.
There’s no word yet on whether When Calls the Heart will be renewed for a tenth season, but we doubt it. We have more questions than answers by the end of the season finale!
