Season 1 of Netflix’s unusual anime “Yasuke,” which tells the tale of a real-life African warrior known as Yasuke, premiered on April 29, 2021.
According to numerous historical documents, Yasuke landed in Japan from Africa, most likely Mozambique, on July 25, 1579. When one of Oda Nobunaga’s generals betrayed him and assassinated him in 1582, he continued to serve the Japanese Daimyo Lord. Yasuke is said to have gone into exile after that tragic occurrence, but the remainder of his tale remains a mystery.
Samurai Yasuke finds himself in an alternative 16th-century Japan where magic, mechas, and other calamities abound in the Netflix anime “Yasuke.” After Nobunaga’s death, evil powers attempt to take over feudal Japan in the six episodes that make up the first season.
Despite Yasuke’s best efforts to leave the life of a samurai in the past, he is charged with guarding a little girl called Saki, whose magical abilities make her a prime target for attack.
The release date for the second season of Yasuke
Even though the whole first season of “Yasuke” was merely released on April 29, Netflix has not revealed any plans for another season of the animated series.
It’s possible that the series was seen by a large number of Netflix subscribers throughout the world and that it was highly praised by reviewers.
The series’ creator, LeSean Thomas, also hinted at something big in an interview with Comicbook.com. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, however, there is optimism that a second season will happen. Even if the green light has been given, fans shouldn’t hold out hope for anything new until the latter half of 2022.
Even though “Yasuke” has been dubbed into German, Spanish, French, and of course, Japanese, the film’s original dialogue was written for English speakers alone.
Cast members include Oscar candidate LaKeith Stanfield, who plays the titular character, as well as Oscar nominees Takehiro Hira as Oda Nobunaga, Maya Tanida as Saki, Ming-Na Wen as Natsumaru, and Paul Nakauchi as Abraham, a villain in the story.
Season two may or may not have many returning cast members, depending on the plot. Yasuke, played by Stanfield, is very certainly coming back, as is Saki, played by Tanida.
Nobunaga, Natsumaru, and the Daimyo, a witch and one of the show’s primary villains voiced by Amy Hill, are among the other characters that meet their end in “Yasuke” Season 1. Season 2 of an anime might be anything, but it’s quite improbable that these characters will be back.
Season 2 of “Yasuke” will include several new characters, as the anime’s universe continues to grow.
What can we anticipate from Yasuke’s second season?
After beating Mitsuhide, Yasuke sacrificed himself to spare Saki from the terrible Daimyo, Oda Nobunaga’s successor. Saki was able to overcome the Daimyo and utilize her power to bring Yasuke back to life when she had found peace with her abilities.
Saki and Daiymo are greeted with wide arms as they return to the village together. After returning the Natsumara sword to its true owner, the surviving younger brother of his old friend, Yasuke chooses to leave the hamlet.
Saki asked Yasuke to watch after Icika’s jewelry till she is old before he departed the town. It’s possible that Yasuke won’t return the jewelry to Saki for many years.
Saki’s fallen commander told her after she defeated the Daimyo that her strength would only increase and that she would eventually lose control and devour all in her path. Saki is a strong and powerful young woman, but destiny may have other plans for her and she may end up on a terrible road.
