On the one hand, when the excitement of a season finale wears off, fans instinctively breathe a sigh of relief, but we also look forward to the next season and what it might bring. This is especially true for HBO Max’s hit animated series Young Justice, which has already suffered from a string of cancellations and renewals.
HBO Max has yet to publicly confirm that Young Justice season 5 is in the works as of the season 4 finale airing just a few hours ago; however, the series’ chances of returning have just gotten a massive boost thanks to the streaming numbers.
Season 5 of Young Justice has yet to be confirmed.
HBO Max had not confirmed a Season 5 of Young Justice at the time of writing this post. “The first question is ‘If,’ not ‘When,'” Young Justice co-creator Greg Weisman said on Twitter when asked about Season 5’s release date.
As a result, it’s safe to assume that the creators are also waiting for HBO Max to confirm anything. However, since the final episode of Season 4 was just released on HBO Max, we may have to wait a little longer for an official announcement from the network.
Greg Weisman and the rest of the cast and crew would be ecstatic to see the show continue. Even if they have a plot ready for the following season, the creators can’t do anything until HBO Max gives Season 5 the green light.
Typically, a network will renew a show based on the previous or current season’s success. Young Justice, on the other hand, is in a good place in this regard. Season 4 numbers are “stunningly good,” according to Weisman, who confirmed this on the S8 forum.
Young Justice’s viewership this year surpassed every other animated superhero show on any network, according to the show’s creator. It’s no surprise, then, that several Young Justice fans took to Twitter to demand a new season.

When Will the Fifth Season of Young Justice Be Available?
Now comes the big question: when will Young Justice season 5 premiere on HBO Max, assuming the show is renewed?
As the official renewal is still TBD, no information about a potential return date has been made public; however, we can use the production cycle from seasons 3 and 4 to get a rough idea of when it might return.
Season 3 was announced in November 2016 following Cartoon Network’s cancellation and will premiere on DC Universe in January 2019. After that, in July 2020, a fourth season was announced, with the title Young Justice: Phantoms being confirmed later that month.
Season 4 would then premiere in October 2021, followed by a second season on March 31st, 2022, for a 15-month production cycle.
We predict that Young Justice season 5 will premiere part 1 in June 2023, with a second part following in November 2023, assuming that the fifth season will follow a similar production cycle, possibly even slightly improved thanks to HBO Max’s added resources.

Cast
It had a large cast of characters that added to the show’s realism. However, it is the voices that bring the characters to life and add value to the story. However, Jesse McCartney, Khary Payton, and Jason Spisak provide the voices of Dick Grayson, Kaldurahm, and Wally West. Danica Mckellar’s Megan Morse and Stephanie Lemelin’s Artemis Crock are also on the list.

What Would the Story of Young Justice Season 5 Be?
Young Justice season 4’s final scenes hint at least one intergalactic conflict in season 5. With the exception of one prisoner who was handed over to Darkseid, Vandal Savage held all of the Kryptonians trapped in the Phantom Zone within his Warworld base.
In a post-credits scene that also revealed Mary Marvel’s fate following Young Justice season 4’s mid-season finale, this prisoner was revealed to be Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El.
Granny Goodness’ elite Furies squad was formed in preparation for an invasion of Earth, and both teenage girls were recruited. Aside from that, Ursa Zod, the new Emerald Empress, is still on the run after fleeing to the planet Daxam to give birth to her son.
