Washington- The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service today introduced “Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here,” a digital portal where Americans who did not file a tax return in 2018 or 2019 can give the IRS basic personal information in order to receive payments.

To expedite payments, people should supply their bank account information. Once this is done, their money will be swiftly deposited into their bank accounts.

Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin stated that “The ‘Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here’ website is a tool for Americans who are not required to file tax returns to guarantee they receive their payment as quickly and securely as possible.

Our teams at Treasury and the IRS are working around the clock to make sure that American families and workers receive their Economic Impact Payments.

Visit IRS.gov and select “Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here.” To determine eligibility, compute, and transmit the Economic Impact Payments, the tool will need the following basic data:

  • Names, Social Security Numbers, and Complete Names of The Spouse and Any Dependents
  • Address for Mail
  • Routing, Type, and Account Numbers for A Bank Account

Later this month, the IRS will launch “Get My Payment,” a new online service.

In order to get payments immediately rather than having to wait for checks to arrive in the mail, taxpayers who submitted tax returns for 2018 or 2019 but omitted their banking information will be able to use this service to provide that information.

“Get My Payment” will allow taxpayers to keep track of the status of their payments.

Beneficiaries who did not file a tax return in 2018 or 2019 will still be paid their social security benefits in the usual manner; they are not required to use this form or do any other action.

Using the information on Forms SSA-1099 and RRB-1099, the IRS will provide Economic Impact Payments totaling $1,200.
