Synopsis

Following a young man whose life is taken away from him by a power-hungry employer, only to wake up one day in a zombie apocalypse and chase his “zombie apocalypse bucket list,” the new film follows.

24-year-old Akira Tendo sits in a trash-filled flat watching a zombie movie with lifeless, jealous eyes in a garbage can. His spirit has been crushed after three years of toiling away in an exploitative company in Japan.

He can’t even bring himself to tell Ohtori about his emotions for her. Then, one day, he runs into his landlord, who also happens to be another renter, eating lunch! Zombies are everywhere, but Akira has never felt more alive than when he’s on the run from them!

Tatsuro Mishima wrote the screenplay for Yusuke Ishida’s “Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead.” The film’s producer is Akira Morii, and it was conceived and produced by ROBOT with help from Plus One Entertainment.

Review Of Volume 1

Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead

Overall, ZOM 100 is a lighthearted and relatable read, even with the use of fan service. Furthermore, the artwork is a mixture of gory and cheerful fun. This comic has a lot to offer, but my favorite aspect about it is that Akira isn’t the stereotypical hapless male protagonist.

He’s a capable ex-rugby player who simply wants to make it until the end of his days. This is a story that all of us will be able to get behind. Even with the fanservice, ZOM 100 manages to be humorous and full of moments that readers can relate to. In addition, the artwork is cheerful, gory, and amusing all at the same time.

Even more so, Akira’s not your typical hapless male protagonist who is living out his ideal in this manga. He’s actually a capable former rugby player who just wants to live before he dies. This is a story that all of us will be able to get behind.
