The Malayalam-language action-adventure drama Malikappuram will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. In addition to being one of the few Malayalam films to have a theatrical run of over 40 days after the pandemic, Malikappuram is also one of the rare Malayalam films to have a run at all. The countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as well as the United Kingdom have given the film lengthy runs.

Despite her best efforts, she keeps having to cancel trips to Sabarimala because of urgent matters at home. She decides to travel with just her next-door neighbour and best friend, Piyush, after a tragic event. They are then joined by an unknown person (Unni), who protects them on their journey to the temple while also foiling the plans of other villains.
