Derry Girls is a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of the political unrest in Northern Ireland. Bringing back fond memories of the 1990s, the first season of this heartwarming comedy followed the antics of four friends and a “little English fella” as they navigated the awkwardness of adolescence.

Now that the series has been on the air for four years, the remaining loose ends are being tied while the youngsters await their GCSE results.

Derry Girls’ third and final season will premiere on these dates, and you can hear from the cast about their parting thoughts on the much-loved comedy.

Derry Girls Season 3 Cast

“I know Lisa McGee, the creator of it. We just exchanged an email about something today,” he asserted. Things just didn’t work out for us in terms of locations and shoot dates because I’m always on the road. I believe the idea of making a surprise appearance on that show is brilliant, and it makes me feel so accomplished.”

“Comedians are always with me. Dara Briain is one of my favourites. In response to the question, “Does he act?” she stated.

Derry Girls Season 3 Plot: What Will Happen?

The plot is being kept under wraps, but early indications are that it will be interesting. This season’s plots are “the greatest we’ve ever done,” according to Nicola Coughlan.

Lisa McGee said there may be romance in the air for James and Erin, who appeared jealous of his potential love involvement at the end of season two, and we could see how the truce affects the gang.

A bit more exploration of how well they work together, McGee speculated to the Radio Times.

“I believe the possibility is there,” she said.

This is something I’d want to see, and I might experiment with it next season.
