The most recent lineup of iPhones, the 14 Series, was introduced in September of last year. Apple, the tech giant headquartered in Cupertino, California, is widely speculated to release the iPhone 15 series, its successor to the iPhone 14, in the latter half of September. It has been speculated for months that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro will come in a variety of colours. We’re updating the entire lineup, which includes the base model, a Plus model, a Pro model, and a Pro Max model, with new colour options.
9to5Mac claims that with the iPhone 15 series, Apple will continue its practise of providing its base model iPhone in a variety of vibrant colour options. The standard white iPhone 15 is rumoured to come in Dark Pink and Light Blue. Self-generated render images of the iPhone 15 in Pink and Light Blue were also shared by the publication.
The report goes on to say that the three standard colour options for the iPhone 15 could include Black, White, and Red, plus the two new colour options. But Apple has been silent about any future plans to expand the iPhone 15 colour palette.
Moreover, the report claims that Apple will maintain its tradition of releasing limited-edition colour variants of the iPhone Pro this year. According to the rumour mill, Apple is planning to introduce a new Dark Red colour option for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra in the near future. The titanium coloration is rumoured to be the next finish for this colorway.
A previous rumour suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max would have rounded corners and smaller side bezels. Screen sizes on different iPhone 15 series models were previously reported to be comparable to their corresponding iPhone 14 series models. Thinner borders and rounded corners are expected to make the iPhone 15 Pro look similar to the Apple Watch.
If you’re not completely sold on the colour, there’s always hope that things will change upon the iPhone’s release, as Apple hasn’t confirmed any of the details to the public and there’s always a chance the source could be wrong, or the information is old. The news outlet revealed not only the new colour for the Pro models, but also two new colours that may be coming to the standard models of the iPhone 15.
Colors like light blue and light pink are in question. Both colours are very vibrant, adding a jolt of energy and looking like they belong on an iPhone 5c from the past. The colours have not been set in stone, and they could change, but when stacked up against Apple’s other products, it seems out of place. Since the next iPhone release is expected to happen in the fourth quarter, we still have a while to go before we get the official word.
