The new Dell UltraSharp 32 includes every feature a worker could want (U3224KB). This 32-inch monitor is brand new for CES and features a 6K IPS Black panel (6,144 x 3,456 pixels) and a slew of other features aimed at improving graphics and productivity. As I said in my evaluation of the 4K version of this monitor from last year, the IPS Black screen boasts better contrast than regular IPS screens.

What bells and whistles?

  • 4K webcam
  • Mic array and dual 14-watt speakers
  • Clever pop-down front-facing USB ports
  • DisplayHDR 600 certification plus 99% P3 color gamut coverage
  • Thunderbolt 4 support with DisplayPort 2.1, 140-watt power delivery, automatic peripheral switching between two connected systems and an Ethernet connection
  • Support for portrait-orientation rotation

It appears to be well suited for usage with a Mac, thanks to features like Thunderbolt, high resolution, and 140-watt power output; nevertheless, certain functionality that depends on Windows-based software may be lost (as frequently happens).

By the end of June, Dell hopes to get it on store shelves. While pricing is still unavailable, it is safe to assume that it will not be inexpensive.

The 43-inch U4323QE, with 4K resolution and a USB-C hub (coming this month for $1,330), and the 34-inch curved U3423WE, with 3,440×1,440 pixels and a USB-C hub (releasing this month for $1,260), are the latest Dell UltraSharp models to receive updates.

That’s only the beginning of a week full of PC, display, and component launches at CES.
