Bloomberg reports that the new phone could be unveiled alongside the iPhone 16 series in 2019.
Bloomberg reported on Sunday that Apple could create a new iPhone tier called “Ultra” that would be more expensive than its Pro and Pro Max versions. According to the rumour, the new iPhone tier could debut alongside the iPhone 16 series in 2024.
The business has previously used the Ultra moniker to distinguish its top-tier smartwatch, the Apple Watch Ultra, and its most advanced M1 processor. Apple has reportedly contemplated adding an Ultra model iPhone, however it is currently unknown how this model would vary from the Pro and Pro Max iPhone models, other than its price.
During Apple’s earnings call last week, CEO Tim Cook reportedly stated he believes consumers will pay more for a superior product.
According to the study, Cook stated, “I believe individuals are willing to go to great lengths to obtain the best available in this category.”
Apple failed to reply promptly to CNET’s request for comment.
This fall, Apple is anticipated to release the iPhone 15 series. Even though nothing is known about the new phone lineup, there are whispers about its potential features. According to a report, all next iPhones will feature USB-C charging ports. The European Union ruled in 2022 that, beginning in 2024, USB-C will be the universal charging cable for all mobile devices.
According to another iPhone 15 rumour, pricing for all smartphone models would climb. Currently, the iPhone 14 versions are priced from $829 to $1,599.
