Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a CVS manager last week, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, Vitaliy Zaytsev, 41, was found shot in the head at his Carmichael home on Friday night. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call shortly before 11 pm and discovered Zaytsev on the 4900 block of Hillridge Way, close to Del Campo High School.

Authorities have arrested Michael Espinosa, Miguel Esquibel, and Jeannette Nunes in connection to the homicide. Espinosa and Esquibel were apprehended in Idaho and are also facing probation violation charges according to Canyon County Sheriff’s Office jail records.

They are expected to be extradited to Sacramento County to face the homicide charge. Details regarding any additional charges they might face are yet to be revealed.

Nunes, on the other hand, was arrested in Sacramento and faces charges of murder and conspiracy. She is being held without bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Monday.

Zaytsev was the manager of a CVS located on Anderson Avenue in Folsom, California, as confirmed by CVS spokesperson Mike DeAngelis.

The investigation into the motive behind the homicide is ongoing.

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department has not released any information regarding a possible motive for the killing of Vitaliy Zaytsev. Due to the ongoing investigation, details about the relationship between the victim and the suspects, if any, are also being withheld.

With two suspects awaiting extradition from Idaho, it’s likely there will be further developments in the case soon. We can expect to hear more about the following in upcoming reports:

  • The possible cause of the homicide: Was it a robbery gone wrong, a targeted attack, or something else entirely?
  • Details about the arrests of Michael Espinosa and Miguel Esquibel in Idaho: Were they apprehended without incident? Did they resist arrest?
  • The arraignment of Jeannette Nunes: Will she plead guilty or not guilty? Will she offer any information about the crime?

This is a developing story, and more information is likely to be released in the coming days. Following local Sacramento news outlets or the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s press releases would be the best way to stay updated on this case.pen_sparktunesharemore_vert
