Most people think that Apple will show off its new iPhone 15 lineup in September. Like last year, the range of iPhones in 2023 is likely to include four models: the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Max, the iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The second device might be called the iPhone 15 Ultra, but a more recent report says this name might not be used until 2024.

The best-selling Apple device could have a very interesting year in 2023. There are rumors that the company could finally switch from Lightning to USB-C and get rid of the mechanical power and volume buttons in favor of solid-state ones. In 2022, the Pro models were the only ones with Dynamic Island. In 2023, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Max might also get it.

Want to Get an Idea of What The iPhone 15 Pro Might Look Like in Your Hands?

A photo of a rumored dummy version of the iPhone 15 Pro.

A user on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, posted a video of what looks like a fake iPhone 15 Pro (via MacRumors). The video gives a good idea of how big the real phone might be. The dummy seems to match the detailed renders of the iPhone 15 Pro that 9to5Mac shared last week. These cameras are huge.

Is this the iPhone 15 Pro?

9to5Mac says that a “detailed CAD” file and other sources have given it more information about the iPhone 15 Pro, and it is showing us what the new phone could look like. We’ve heard a lot of the rumors before—titanium frame, USB-C, thinner bezels, and a great new color—but the renders really bring this story to life.

New iPhone 15 Pro Renders Show that Rumored Mute Button.

This year, it looks like the more expensive iPhones will switch from a mute switch to a mute button. New renders in a video found by leaker ShrimpApplePro show that it looks, well, like a button. If this is real, I wonder if it will be better than the switch, which has been a part of every iPhone since the first one.

In the video, you can also see the rumored unified volume button on the iPhone 15 Pro, and it looks like the iPhone 15 will still have a mute switch and separate volume buttons.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max (Ultra?)

This is what leaker Ice Universe said, and 9to5Mac later confirmed it. Ice Universe shared renders of what is thought to be the iPhone 15 Ultra. In addition to having a USB-C port, smaller bezels, and no buttons, the image shows a camera bump that is much less noticeable than the one on the render of the iPhone 15 Pro.

And here’s the iPhone 15 Plus, apparently.

The latest renders from 9to5Mac show the iPhone 15 Plus, which seems to still be in the works even though the iPhone 14 Plus reportedly didn’t sell well. The Plus phone also seems to be switching to a Dynamic Island and USB-C, but based on what we know now, I’d choose the rumored Pro red if I had to choose an iPhone 15 model.

Details can be found on 9to5Mac. I usually just get black phones, but this one is so nice I’d really think about getting it.

Pretty iPhone Pictures.

Ian Zelbo took the supposed CAD files of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro that were published by 9to5Mac last week and made them look better. Now in color, the phone has USB-C, rounded edges, and a big boy camera bump.
