A new 30-second trailer from the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie has just been published, focusing on the Seth Rogan-voiced character Donkey Kong.

In the trailer, we see Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) land in a ‘Question Mark’-filled arena. His initial encounter with Donkey Kong results in a severe beating, but Mario then collides with a box and transforms into “Cat Mario,” only to be mocked by the 1981 version of Donkey Kong.

The film, a partnership between Nintendo and Illumination, will premiere in North American theatres on April 7 of this year. However, it will air in certain locations before that date.

Thanks to a few leaks, we’ve already seen the majority of the movie’s tie-in merchandise.
